FOOD & FIBRE CAREERS

Victoria’s largest agricultural careers day is held annually at Melbourne University’s Dookie Campus for Year 9-12 students interested in careers in food, fibre, agriculture and horticulture.

 

300 students from across the Goulburn Valley and North East Victoria attended in May 2019. Students choose 3 workshops from a range of 22 interactive workshops and school teams also participate in the Young Farmers Challenge.

  • Dairy:  Robotics and more

  • Food Science: The art of creating tasty steaks

  • Agronomy

  • Poultry

  • Veterinary technology

  • Water efficiency and conservation

  • Hydroponics

  • Insect farming

  • Indigenous bush foods
